The show was unadulterated Julien Macdonald — costume-y, flesh-flashing and with lots of high shine. The most tame looks included long or draped sparkly dresses with necklines slashed to the navel, plus a silver filigree curve-hugging number fit for Jessica Rabbit.
Other dresses were adorned with shiny beads, crystals and sequins. Many were thigh-skimming, while longer ones featured peek-a-boo nude mesh panels.
Unless anyone is preparing to shake their booty on stage during the Superbowl, or star as an Eighties Tina Turner in an upcoming biopic, they should think twice about Macdonald’s offer.
