“The Shrimps girl has grown up with me, so this season she’s wiser and a little darker,” said the label’s Hannah Weiland.
Her signature faux-fur coats came in stripes and checkerboard motifs inspired by artist Agnes Martin, and in a palette of dusky rose and black. An animal-print coat worn atop a shiftdress with diamante collars and cuffs had more than a whiff of Margo Leadbetter.
Weiland expanded further beyond faux fur with pantsuits – including a black number in shaved velvet with a glass beaded collar and pockets — and shiftdresses with embellished hems.
As for the marbled pink set, “we researched the most beautiful bathrooms in the world,” Weiland laughed. “I wanted something surreal.”
