Brunello Cucinelli went for a tomboy-chic mood for fall, plying mannish fabrics and relaxed silhouettes for a modern and appealing lineup.
While still rooted in upscale, artisanal craftsmanship, the clothes were infused with a contemporary streetwear sensibility — a new, interesting direction for the brand.
Sweeping yet lightweight cashmere coats were paired with cropped and pleated wide-leg pants, the latter sometimes embellished with micro shimmering beads for a feminine touch. The cozy sweaters were embellished with floral-like motifs in contrasting tones or came in thick cable knit versions layered over striped shirts with built-in ties.
Cucinelli’s signature subdued color palette of gray and blue shades was this season peppered with a vivid poppy red tone, which enhanced the playful, effortless attitude of the collection.
