Claudia Li said she was inspired to explore a theme of self-preservation for fall. This translated into a collection filled with designs that wrapped around the body — including quirky tops done in denim and vegan leather featuring a cascade of origami-inspired knots — while a textured cotton top with matching pants featured straps that tied around the cuffs and bodice.
All of Li’s pieces, which were cut in comfortable silhouettes, used special details to edgy effect. A boyfriend-like knitted sweater, for example, was paired with a deconstructed overall skirt embellished with a maxi bow, and an elegant cashmere trenchcoat was decorated with panels for a graphic appeal.
