Noon by Noor designers Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa sent a restrained, almost austere lineup down their fall runway. For starters, they showed great-looking duster coats with textural surfaces and used their usual embroideries and beads in a more subtle way — a panel on a black T-shirt here, a sprinkle of jewels on a white shirt there. Perhaps the masculine tailoring, simpler cuts and sober palette helped, but this welcomed approach certainly seemed more attuned to the way modern women live.
