Ulla Johnson’s bohemian vision was focused sharply on opulence for fall. “I really wanted to layer on beauty and interest, have fun with it and create something that’s beautiful and special,” she explained.
On stage, models hung around walls of flowers wearing ruffled cashmere sweaters in jewel tones, gilded velvet Victorian dresses, colorful waist-tie overalls, embroidered shearling jackets and a memorable ikat-embroidered midi dress. It was Johnson’s most inspired lineup to date. The designer, who noted the brand’s growth with the addition of accessories in recent collections, said she will introduce eyewear next season.
