This season, Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard — the duo behind the Veronica Beard label — turned out their most evolved and cohesive collection to date. Inspired by a “gypsy caravan,” the designers played with the juxtaposition of bohemian ease and men’s wear tailoring.
Cozy, oversize knit sweaters added softness, as did sweet florals, which were often sexed up with ruched drawstring details — a little reminiscent of Isabel Marant’s signature look. Bohemian dresses and skirts channeled a Stevie Nicks vibe, while outerwear had a cool edge and ranged from a chic, fur-trimmed double-breasted jacket with an exposed zipper detail to a leopard-pattern jacquard cocoon coat.
