BY.Bonnie Young is unmistakably adult with an undercurrent of urban womanliness for which Donna Karan was known, and a major charge of minimalist tough-girl edge. “It’s uber luxury to speak to your soul,” Young said. “It’s super wearable and all about layering, dressing it up or down and just being glamorous.” The palette of black, beige and gray asserted a city attitude, while cozy yet swank knit capes and ponchos, and fine gauge ribbed knits ideal for layering made the point of livable chic. Young’s big statements came in pants and pleated knit jumpsuits with ultrawide, ultralong legs, a painted leather motorcycle jacket that reversed to shearling, and a plainly cut silk maxi dress with long sleeves trimmed in skinny brass nail embroidery. Prices range from $895 for trousers to $4,000 for furs.
