Former investment banker Vivienne Hu followed her dream of becoming a designer and today has a small collection in New York City, where she sells her contemporary collection. Her fall lineup focused on outerwear, from tailored military-inspired coats to dramatic beastly furs and everything in between. Hu also showed some youthful leather shrunken jackets as well as fur-trimmed parkas that were cozy yet cool. For evening, she offered a few sexy asymmetric gowns as well as plenty of striped dresses for day. Although there were some interesting ideas, Hu needs to focus on the fit of her pieces because some of the gowns and jackets were ill-fitting.
