Colville’s creators, Lucinda Chambers and Molly Molloy, polished their offer and also broadened it, expanding further into homeware and accessories. They continue to work with women’s cooperatives in countries including Mexico, Colombia and Italy, where the bulk of this collection is made.
The look: Sophisticated bohemian — and easy. The silhouettes are flattering, the colors are bright and the collection is so cozy you can probably sleep in it, too.
Quote of note: “We try every single piece on, move around and ask ourselves, ‘Would we wear it?’ The collection is about women designing for women and clothes that are meant to be worn and enjoyed,” Chambers said.
Standout pieces: There were so many here, it’s difficult to narrow them down: The striped knit waist-warmers and detachable turtleneck collars; the chunky, sporty sweater with the zip front and extra-long sleeves; the silk checkerboard sleeveless dress and the romantic, ruched Oh La La dress.
Takeaway: These are joyful, seasonless clothes — and true wardrobe workhorses.
