For their fall 2021 collection, Opening Ceremony designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon found inspiration in the moment they’re living in. “The home has always been a source of inspiration, now more than ever.…So, while it was the pandemic, we found little things and details that really were exciting,” said Lim.
The look: Perfect for that stylish downtown boy/girl.
Quote of note: “We needed to think about, OK, let’s take these fitted sheets; let’s take this mattress cover; let’s take these things that are just around us in the home.…So that was really one of the starting points for the collection, which was super fun.”
Key looks: A sequined and glitter silver-looking top that is made from a jersey material; an orange padded cropped jacket; the corduroy house slippers, which are an ode to the West Coast.
The takeaway: Opening Ceremony stayed true to themselves with vibrant colors, fun silhouettes and shapes.
