Maharishi creative director and founder Hardy Blechman looked to a bevy of influences including religious clothing, military platoons and gang subcultures for fall. These helped update his pacifist military style, yielding a contemporary and wearable range.

Biker gang references were seen in a sleeveless leather vest layered over black trousers, while a long robe coat suggested a Buddhist monk.

Outerwear was the highlight including a black leather overcoat with a shearling collar and a baseball style in brown and orange. Trenches, parkas, flight jackets and tapered trousers came in a palette of green, red, dusty pink, orange and black.

A revamped camouflage print, which assumed a natural wood-grain texture, crawled over anoraks, field jackets, sweatshirts, overcoats and suits.
