“Ich bin ein Berliner” proclaimed Ilan Chetrite about his vision of the Sandro man for fall. He evoked an urban atmosphere of the German city in the Eighties, a theme that was apparent, for example, in cropped jean-style jackets with contrast stitching, and on a camel soft-shouldered coat. But there the connection seemed to end in what was essentially a broad commercial collection for today’s man about town. As such, it included a smattering of black-and-white checks; high-waisted, wide pants; cozy knitwear in a variety of hues; brightly colored suits, and loose, fluid shirts.
