For her first solo show, luxury sportswear designer Astrid Anderson sent out a collection with a feminine edge inspired by crystals she had come across during a trip to Florence. There were tight tops and cycling shorts in technical fabrics incorporating delicate panels of Sophie Hallette lace from France. Hooded jackets and cuffed tracksuit bottoms came in paper-thin latex and shiny velour, while tops and bags had “A” from Anderson’s sporty logo spelled out in mink across the front. Colors and patterns also took their inspiration from the crystals, with one camouflage print done in green tourmaline “for protection and empowerment,” and lots of off-white shades inspired by crystal quartz.
