Fashion East alumnus Joseph Turvey turned out a collection of sports-inflected luxury street wear, with patterns inspired by ornamental Koi carp as represented in Japanese Yakuza body art. Turvey put his signature illustration skills to work on delicate watercolor renderings of the fish for zip-up collared jackets, bombers and tunic tops, some of which came with organza and sequin panels. More intricate still was a biker jacket made of embroidered tulle and created by the French lace mill, Sophie Hallett. Models had Japanese characters — conceived by makeup artist Lucy Bridge — emblazoned across their faces and chests.
