Holding his show in a tent camp re-created inside Chelsea’s ArtBeam, Greg Lauren set the tone for his collection, which incorporated military and workwear references. Infusing the lineup with the spirit of an adventurer, the designer sent out an array of men’s and women’s deconstructed looks in distressed fabrics, including military green cotton, denim and linen, which were mixed in slouchy pants and asymmetric jackets with blanketlike wool inserts. With its loose, relaxed vibe, the collection clearly targets a generation of sophisticated, urban nomads looking for a hippie lifestyle.
