Tim Coppens lightened up for spring, with sheer paneling and mesh that added an ethereal touch. Although bombers remained a key part of the collection, the addition of updated trenchcoats and parkas provided much-needed diversity.
One surprise came in the heavy use of an abstract jungle print on everything from raincoats and pants to backpacks, which Coppens said was based on the eye of a parrot. It’s clear that Coppens is a master at sporting references and superior at sportswear construction, but his lone suit in the lineup proved he has tailoring skills as well. His collection would benefit from expanding on that.
