Sunnei celebrated youthfulness with its first show. Instead of seating editors and buyers front row, the brand’s creative directors Simone Rizzo and Loris Messina reserved those seats for friends who jumped up and started dancing as soon as the show started. The playful mood resonated also in the clothes, styled on a diverse cast of characters.
The nerd sported a knitted polo shirt and high-waist pleated pants with a vintage feel, while the office boys came dressed in deconstructed suits worked in lightweight shirting fabric. Sunnei’s signature denim had a soft feel and was used for oversize T-shirts, as well as an elongated vest paired with baggy short pants. The designers also channeled a Nineties mood by printing garments with psychedelic tie-dye, as well as layering T-shirts under crisp cotton shirts.
