For Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada rehashes one of her favorite themes for fall — bourgeois vintage. In her hands, traditional wools such as window panes and checks get a sassy uptown spin via bright colors such as turquoise and banana yellow for an overall slim, short and sweet silhouette.

Leather and metal closures adorn high-collared jackets or short-sleeve fox fur coats, while the big gold buttons stitched onto frisky coat dresses are reminiscent of leather ones used on Loden coats. Prada also worked a wholesome side with handmade fishermen’s knits, either ruched on baby dolls or knitted into mittens and thick socks rolled over the knee.
