After five years at Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci is turning the page — opting for clean lines and sharp tailoring with a nod to men’s wear, juxtaposed with romanticism via feminine lace, luxurious fox fur and flirty feathers. And the balance works like a charm. Looking through the archives and Parisian style of the late Sixties and early Seventies, the collection focuses on blazers, outerwear and suitings with a couture hand in flannel, while blouses are classic cotton men’s wear shirts or frothy romantic confections. But for those who love Tisci’s hard edge, he offers plenty of black leather jackets and shorts as well as delicate dresses with oversize grommets.
