Continuing his experimentation with special fabrics for pre-fall, Gabriele Colangelo focused on high-end outerwear. He showed a clean-lined collarless coat worked in a jacquard velvet fabric overprinted to create a pattern resembling a scratched surface. Other jackets were done in a Japanese boiled wool that was textured yet lightweight. They were worn over simple tunic dresses or slim pants with masculine shirts.
In keeping with the brand’s signature style, Colangelo also filled the collection with luxurious yet modern furs, including two completely reversible styles: a black astrakhan coat and a light blue mink short jacket, both bonded with napa leather.
