The pretty, printed baby dolls, trippy furs — both real and fab faux shearlings — and long-legged metallic jacquard pantsuits of Giambattista Valli’s Giamba pre-fall came dusted with a cool, quirky retro stardust. Valli packed a lot of value into his sister line with fabric work, fur effects and an array of sweetheart and floral prints. Minidresses, some with tie-necks, came styled with knit tights and extreme platforms jazzed up with glitter heels and printed jacquards for a mix of glam-rock and naïveté, while a white maxi with psychedelic daisy macramé channeled bohemian glamour.
