Having opened her own store in July in Manhattan’s SoHo, Rachel Comey said she has become conscientious of designing clothes with the more practical aspects of the business in mind, like the timing of retail shipments. Still, in her eclectic pre-fall lineup, she tried to focus on “seasonless dressing,” which she accomplished with lightweight outerwear options in quilted linen and woven mohair. Denim continues to be a strong part of Comey’s business and she offered multiple looks, from a button-down dress to a high-waisted Seventies-style skirt.

Comey also played with prints, showing cheeky nude illustrations on some looks and collaborating with ceramic artist Jennie Jieun Lee on another look, while she pulled off a pared-down take on evening with a series of slinky black dresses.
