Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri took the Red Valentino collection back to the Sixties: Peace and love patches appeared on army jackets and pants; groovy florals were done in flirty short dresses with collars, and pop-art geometrics showed up on everything from A-line skirts to shift dresses. At times, things got crafty — as in the multicolor hand-knitted jumpers and wide tulle skirts — but the short black dresses with scalloped hems and metal eyelets brought the rebellious streak back.
