Amy Smilovic referenced the “coziness and warmth of the Argentinian gaucho uniform” for pre-fall, resulting in a lineup where textural sweaters were paired with asymmetrical wool skirts or roomy cropped pants. A blanket-striped skirt set the cultural tone of the collection. “It’s not literal, but it still has that global feel,” explained Smilovic. Some tops also featured macramé detailing, as well as twists and knots — a nod to the gaucho’s penchant for neckties.
