Inspired by the bright, colored tiles she saw on her first trip to Porto, Portugal, this summer, Orla Kiely worked a host of geometric patterns — in a palette of pink, mustard, brown and black — into this youthful, playful collection of Sixties-inspired silhouettes.

The group, which could easily go from day to night, included printed, belted silk dresses with little ruffles around the collar or running down the front, and jacquard ones with square, tile-shaped patterns adorned with a thick lasagna ruffle or a sharp white collar. Kiely also worked ruffles onto the hem and cuffs of her beloved A-line dresses, some of which had contrasting, patterned sleeves.

There were jackets and intarsia sweaters with peplum details, which Kiely paired with patterned ruffle-edged skirts, and a few solids in the mix, too, including an olive A-line cotton coat, with oversize patch pockets, and a sleeveless mustard dress with a thick ruffle adorning the front.
