With “fantasy travel clothes” in mind, Chris Benz’s resort collection teemed with color, print and fabrics that may sound complicated (cellophane-coated tweed, tinsel jersey) but are actually designed to be low-maintenance. “You can take a somewhat fancy dress and shove it in your suitcase and it will still look the way it’s supposed to,” said Benz of a cobalt ruffled dress. The lineup ranged from casual, as in patchwork chambrays and striped cashmere T-shirt dresses, to festive day-to-night gear, including stretch-lace pieces and bright double-knit dresses with sheer underlayers.
