Humberto Leon and Carol Lim got personal with their resort collection, reflecting on their childhoods in suburban Los Angeles in the late Eighties and early Nineties. They know the laid-back, West Coast summer genre well, and it showed in a strong lineup that used bubble-gum pink, bright coral and swimming-pool blue, as well as hand-drawn prints — palm trees, flowers and waves — shown on matching shirt and skirt combos, and high-waisted pants worn with cropped tops. Leon and Lim also launched a new bag, the “Kalifornia,” a simple, square shape with chunky zippers and big buttons that referenced a biker jacket.
