“It’s a city collection that’s tropically inspired,” Nicole Miller said of her resort lineup. “It’s for an aspirational vacationer; you’re in New York, so you don’t get to go anywhere.” It was a cute idea rendered in a playfully modern way as Miller worked her easy, feminine aesthetic on culotte jumpsuits, textured knits, a pair of tangerine minidresses and plenty of separates featuring bird-of-paradise and palm tree prints.

 

The designer rounded out her daywear with a few dressier looks that came beaded and fringed, with one notable off-the-shoulder dress in a tropical motif done in her signature cotton metal fabric, which made for a “crunchy” textural effect.
