Carin Rodebjer’s take on resort was all about practicality. “I wanted to do a collection that could either be worn on a staycation in the city or on a beach somewhere,” she said. To achieve this, the designer offered easy, breezy pieces — wrap tops and dresses, a kimono dress coat — in unexpected colors and prints that could be dressed up and worn to the office or paired with flats and a bathing suit.
To wit: Rodebjer showed a navy and orange vertical-striped caftan dress could go anywhere as well as a greige midiskirt with buttons on the front could be “opened up and worn with a bikini top,” she explained. Overall, comfort and versatility are deeply rooted in Rodebjer’s mission and she delivered on both counts with this lineup.
