Tamara Mellon’s vision for resort — a cosmic woman goes to Joshua Tree — was realized via a graphic palm-tree leaf pattern worked into caftans and dresses as well as a striking peacock motif. Fringe, a common element in all of the designer’s collections, showed up in strapless dresses as well as on a black number with a carwash hemline.
A strapless iridescent pastel blue mid-length style tied up the futuristic-woman-in-the-desert theme. Accessories-wise, pastel Mongolian fur bags and detachable peacock feathers added a touch of texture, while strappy heels and knee-high gladiators offered a bold finish to some looks.
