Christian Siriano plays toward the fantastical. His diverse, lively resort lineup trafficked in candy-color stripes and pastel hues, derived from Fifties Parisian pastry shops and midcentury furniture pieces, like the plush pink velvet armchairs adorning his mood board (“they’re horrible, but amazing,” the designer said).
Everything had a sense of controlled volume that made it feel completely wearable. An iridescent button-down shirt featured structured pleated bell sleeves, but was so effervescent and transparent, giving off Space-Age vibes when paired with matching pants. Similarly, printed bonded gazar on separates provided body and sheerness. Evening gowns were classic Siriano: plenty of glamour with considered quirky details, like sleeve overlays or straps that could be worn on or off-the-shoulder. One strapless black gown had a wraparound pink floral sleeve that cascaded into a train — a particular standout.
