Cynthia Rowley’s resort collections always channel an escapist fantasy. “Where can I go so that I can wear all these clothes?” Rowley mused during a walk-through of her festive, colorful lineup, citing influences that ranged from Asia to Mexico — and also the American West, reflected in a brown fringed suede jacket and a silk blouse with an ornamental yoke and white piping.

The collection was full of wearable silhouettes with a quirky twist: think cropped flares in patterned jacquard, a traditional safari jacket done in duchess satin and a cotton voile kimono-style jacket covered in a black-based floral print. A multihued Mexican-inspired floral pattern — worked in a crochet knit fabric made with high-end textile mill Malhia Kent — featured in several looks, including a jacket and mermaid maxiskirt that perfectly characterized the collection’s wanderlust.
