Abloom with flowers galore, Giambattista Valli’s resort featured bold red floral prints, delicate lace daisies, floral macramé spliced with sheared mink and mixed lace and prints. Nothing in the collection fell short of cheerfully pretty, yet it represented a breadth of looks that felt quite diverse compared to Valli’s runway lineups. There were plenty of party dresses and Sixties shifts, but also a plethora of pants, skirts, jackets and separates, done one in various color combinations — like the red blooms on a white dress or the yellow, white and green daisies that channeled a sweet naïveté on another — that put the variety in garden variety.
