As usual, the collection was heavy on caftans, tunics, jumpsuits, off-shoulder dresses and other breezy and loose silhouettes done in custom lace and silk and those signature Lilly P prints. To fit the theme “Life Under Printed Palms,” designer Mira Fain and her team hand-painted exotic flowers and whimsical scenes: a monkey hidden behind trees on a breezy top, elephants blended with fauna on a short caftan and other critters and sea-life sprinkled throughout. There was a playfulness with tassel embellishments on cropped tops and off-shoulder dresses, and fluidity with ruffled wrap skirts and tie-dye maxidresses. An all-white lace dress could perfectly transition from day to night. “Our goal is to get you from plane to the pool and pool to the party; you just have to change your shoes,” quipped Fain.
