Set in the elegant Parisian-style drawing room of the Plaza Athénée Hotel, Oleg Cassini’s latest bridal offering celebrated the romance and glamour of the bride — and the whole wedding party — with stunning, beautifully crafted designs.
From the opening look, there was a sense of class and workmanship in the intricately embroidered tulle, marking the collection as something more elaborate and higher quality than mass-market alternatives. Among the strongest propositions for the season were ballgowns and princess gowns that featured exclusive handcrafted luxury laces as well as polished crystals and embroidery.
There were moments of genuinely breathtaking entrances, interrupted only by dramatic ruffles that felt less refined. Bridesmaids offerings were equally elegant, featuring minimal and soft designs in dusty tones of pink and blue. They made a case for having a well-dressed bridal party.
But nothing could threaten the magic of the cathedral-length veils that helped complete the fantasy of the perfectly regal bride.
