Zac Posen’s latest bridal offering for David’s Bridal was rich with texture, incorporating elements from his runway collection at an accessible price point. Fold-over fabric detailing at the bust and an iteration of one of his designs for Joséphine de la Baume are takeaways Posen fans will recognize. New elements that factored into the tight lineup of six wedding gowns included a sweeping full tulle skirt train and elevated levels of threadwork and embroidery over tulle overlays. “David’s has an incomparable, competitive edge on distribution and on the ability to manufacture really high-level techniques,” Posen said during the presentation held at Ladurée SoHo.

Social occasion pieces were an extension of signature styles and included an archival floral print reappropriated onto a skirt hem; a pigment print on an organza skirt that had some transparency; a classic strapless LBD, and something you wouldn’t normally find in the Zac Posen vernacular — a simple sleeveless black crop top.
