Taking inspiration from the dark notes of PJ Harvey’s music, designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida injected a grunge feel into their denim-centric lineup, which sometimes resulted in a look a bit too rough for even the wildest urban jungle. There were some fun moments, however, like the baggy jeans with exaggerated, knee-high cuffs that were paired with asymmetric silk tops or with raw-cut collarless denim jackets decorated with long straps. The moody color palette of black and navy blue was lightened up with some sky-blue, bias-cut denim skirts, halter-neck dresses and a front-pocket jean shirt that was longer in the back. Marques and Almeida also injected pops of color via chiffon harlequin-esque patchwork frocks and neon leather numbers, including a yellow skirt with an oversize leather poncho.
