Given her devotion to the Philippines, it’s only natural that Josie Natori would seize the season to celebrate the islands. She did so with a decidedly Asian flair — obi-wrapped shirts, fluid pants and rich, hand-embroidered floral appliqués.
While there was a burst of color in the prints, the loveliest looks came in shades of white: a long slender dress; short pencil skirts and longer, fuller versions, and a great bandage leotard top with a drawstring skirt. The white shirt showed up in various fabrics but came out in force for the finale of printed pants and long skirts, every one topped with some version of the classic.
As for accessories, Natori added an exotic touch with beautifully handcrafted bracelets and necklaces, each featuring a single flower made of wood or gold-plated brass.
