Hidenori Kumakiri showed his Beautiful People collection in a large indoor tennis complex, with the crack of balls being hit back and forth sounding prominently on the ambient soundtrack.
The sporting theme didn’t end there. Kumakiri opened with literal representations of tennis garb before moving on to more versatile looks that would be at home in any country club. These included skirts, unisex pullovers and men’s shorts in a mix of contrasting stripes. A women’s denim cropped top modeled after a pair of overalls had a youthful vibe, while a cartoonlike iguana added a touch of humor to a men’s sweater.
