With prints and embellishments dominating the Tokyo runways, Dressedundressed’s minimalism and clean tailoring presented a refreshing change of pace. Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato turned out a collection of well-cut pieces in a range of neutrals — white, ivory, navy, black — that could serve as wardrobe staples for men as well as women. Men’s wear dominated the show and included tank tops, baggy pants, blazers, shirts and long jackets, sometimes worn in layers. The women’s lineup included oversize button-down shirts, a sleek sleeveless dress worn over pants and a beige double-breasted coat. The collection’s theme, “intelligence,” proved appropriate, as there was plenty of smart thinking on display.
