Designer Jackie Lee conjured a youthful mood with this languid collection. A number of the looks riffed on pajama dressing, as in a racer-back cream silk tank with piping, worn with matching culottes, or a silk shirt and wide-leg pants in stripes of cream devoré silk.
She also played with the idea in dresses, with one pastel pink shirtdress whose top looked like a men’s pajama shirt, with a skirt crafted from asymmetric pleated panels that sprung from the hip and waist. Another standout was a series of tank dresses in layers of silk, embellished with laser-cut, fluttering wing shapes.
Lee’s new, relaxed direction — in contrast to the more structured shapes she’s shown in the past — worked like a dream.
