Andrea Lieberman looked to the Berber textiles of Morocco as the starting point for her Seventies-inspired spring collection, done in an organic color palette. A little bit of rock ‘n’ roll influence — seen in a brown suede jacket embellished with silver studs, paired with one of the era’s ubiquitous button-front skirts — and an overall nomadic spirit could also be detected in the rich colors and textures of the relaxed, earthy lineup.
In addition to patterned florals that resembled paisley, Lieberman rendered a few looks in tie-dye prints inspired by Moroccan wedding bells and another based on a henna design. Crisp, square-neck blouses with geometric cutouts and crocheted and fringed knits added to the collection’s eclectic feel. But it was the simple belted safari dress done in Army green cotton linen that stood out for its understated femininity.
