All of the key elements that Marissa Webb has been known for were represented in her spring collection: bright colors, military references, tailoring and the tension of tomboy and girly girl. Usually she mixes them up like a fine mayonnaise, but here the blend was off.

Webb showed a lot of monochromatics and head-to-toe prints on fluid tailoring, and served romance straight up in bright organza lace dresses that bordered on saccharine, even when cut with fringed earrings and stilettos. The best moments came in a military-green group of feminized wrap trenches and full skirts that tapped the balance of tough and feminine which she does best.
