Veronica Beard’s sexy, tropics-inspired lineup channeled Miami in the late Seventies and early Eighties, fusing the brand’s tailored American sportswear silhouettes with a Latin sensuality. “It’s about effortless chic,” said Veronica Swanson Beard, who founded the label with her sister-in-law, Veronica Miele Beard. “This girl jumped out of the pool and threw her hair in a chignon.”

 

Palm and floral prints abstracted onto silky, ruched sheath dresses and midi skirts provided a feminine contrast to the lineup’s chambray and linen separates — such as pin-striped culottes — and clean, modern suiting. Pops of red, seen on a ruffled, off-the-shoulder dress and a covetable one-shouldered top, underscored the collection’s sultry feel in a strong, cohesive outing from the design duo.
