Continuing where she left off with her men’s collection, Stephanie Hahn gave her female customers trenches with a novel spin. She worked them into skirts, overalls, bustier dresses and back into trenches again. A handsome cape-hybrid, which she says took at least three trials before being good to go, proved above all practical, despite the intricate construction.
Hahn’s underlying theme — purpose — was also evident in a series of vests and three-quarter-sleeve tops with wrap belts and flap collars, each detachable to suit a given mood or situation. Her signature tailoring was easy and cool thanks to an unusually light custom-made wool fabric, while a volley of body-con dresses rendered in crease-free crepe played up the collection’s versatility factor.
