Sport served as the main inspiration for creative directors Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti as they injected a dynamic spin into their spring collection. In particular, they looked to the golf world — the company runs a golf resort close to Rome. The sport’s iconography and traditional uniforms were reflected in the lineup, which included a cotton trenchcoat and cropped pants paired with a coordinated silk blouse, all worked in a playful, colorful pattern featuring golf clubs and balls. An argyle motif, rendered in energetic hues, appeared on a group of knitted outfits, such as a hooded cardigan with a drawstring at the waist layered over a matching bodysuit. The classic polo dress got a luxurious makeover with an elegant graphic pattern embroidered with micro-sequins and decorated with silk plissé inserts for a touch of movement. Early Thirties links-inspired foulard prints appeared on a range of silk sateen styles, ranging from a hyper-feminine halterneck dress to a more masculine and effortless chic pajama-inspired set. Metallic tones were introduced via gold lace evening options, as well as cutout organza dresses with delicate yet sparkling embroideries. The collection offered a balanced expression of Biagiotti’s artisanal skills, showcased through modern designs suitable for the challenging schedules of today’s women.
