An image of a look by late designer Giorgio di Sant’Angelo was the starting point for Rossella Jardini’s spring collection. Sant’Angelo’s signature ethnic-inspired style, infused with both Bohemian and romantic references, definitely echoed in the lineup. But the collection also clearly reflected the signature aesthetic of Jardini, including the big ruffles embellishing a maxi frock worked in a textured fabric; the shirtdress, which came punctuated by multicolor embroidery, and the mannish white sartorial blazer decorated with floral lapels and trimmed with a cascade of tassels in bright tones. A suit with a little collarless jacket had tribal-inspired embroidery, while a dress with a delicate bow at the collar was worked in a multicolor polka-dot pattern. Everything exuded a sense of playful femininity, very chic yet peppered by flamboyant accents.
