Andy Hilfiger — yes, Tommy Hilfiger’s brother — has been known to build brands. A fan of the arts, he joined Artistix as creative director in April, and with artist Greg Polisseni, the label’s founder and creative director, launched a women’s collection for spring.

Known for his men’s wear, Polisseni based his women’s lineup on his painting “Equality” — he worked for 48 hours straight creating an image on a giant canvas with only paint tubes — one side, black and white and the other side white and black. He turned painting into a print, which he used  on everything from blazers to a bell-sleeved dress and even a bra and undies set.

The collection had an undeniable rock-‘n’-roll vibe with bomber jackets and bodysuits with exposed zippers. And amid the brash sexiness, there were a few looks that could be worn outside of a club, including printed bomber jackets and a few simple sheath dresses.
