With a summer trip to Seville, Spain providing inspiration for her spring collection, Barbara Tfank referenced the geometric patterns of Moorish tiles on a pretty laser-cut piqué and tulle dress with delicate bows embellishing the waist and shoulders. She also trained her focus on sleeves. Cut voluminously, they enhanced the sumptuous silhouette of a taffeta dress worked in a delicate floral pattern, as well as a second frock covered with embroidered tulle.
“Despite that people think I only sell cocktail dresses, my customers buy day pieces as well,” said the designer, pointing at a group of more informal yet impeccable designs. These included an elegant cotton sheath with puffy sleeves, a fitted dress with spaghetti-strap details at the shoulders and a third with a feminine jacquard jacket trimmed with grosgrain.
